I love the subtlety of technique here, it catches the eye out seeming a lovely, vintage styled mono which suddenly throws astonishing clarity at the eye. It works by not trying to be too showy, which sounds like a bit of a backhanded compliment but it really isn't supposed to be, I love this. The clean nature of the shot and low contrast balance against the snap of focus on your model, simplicity via great skill. Hmmmm, minimalist, I think that's the word I have been looking for through this comment, minimalist and great for it.
